The Government Wants to Give You Money
by way of Government Grants!!!!

As long as you are eligible to receive funding, your grant application is approved by Government

Governments use their Grant Programs for many things. There are government grants to build the economy, to improve the arts, the culture and the environment, to support sporting activities, to encourage innovation and to provide better health and better education.

There is government funding to assist in import and export, to encourage young people to express themselves and to create a foundation for the future. Many Australian organisations receive funding through government grants every year.

Are you, your business or your community organisation getting your share?

What do Mike’s Clients and Colleagues Say….

Catherine Palin-Brinkworth (Business Woman, Speaker & Trainer)

For the last 20 years I have been the owner and principal of three businesses in the professional development field, working primarily on business growth strategy and skills development. Since moving my primary business from Sydney to the Gold Coast in 2003, I have been delighted to discover the knowledge and skillbase of Mike Palmer and Preslane. We have shared many business discussions and problem-solving experiences over the last few years.

Mike’s expertise is second to none in the field of Government Funding. As a number of my non-executive directorships have been with not-for-profit organisations, I am only too aware of the challenges that arise when seeking grants. And through my friendship with Mike, I have been amazed to discover the availability of government support for business – which only an expert can manage.

This ebook will be invaluable to business people for information – particularly those who have not previously considered government funding.

Australian Government Grants and
Government Funding

The 2010 edition of “Australian Government Grants and Government Funding” ebook is now available and it addresses many of the problems and concerns people
have about Government Funding Programs.

For example:

  • Which programs are available?
  • Which programs should I apply for?
  • How do I know if I am eligible?
  • Why is eligibility so restrictive?
  • How much should I apply for?
  • What does “matching funds” mean?
  • Why is the application process so drawn out and difficult?
  • If I reveal information to one Government Department – is it transferred to other Government Departments, e.g. Australian Tax Office?
  • etc

If you don’t know where to start, there are Government website links in the ebook which provide a broad overview of available programs. If you have heard
of a program but don’t know whether you might be eligible for that program, there are links in the ebook to specific programs where you can study the
Guidelines for that particular program.

There are summaries of some of the author’s experiences in applying for over $4m in Government funding for clients over the last few years.

Mike Avey (Business Owner)

Mike Palmer and I have been colleagues and friends for several years and we have worked together on a number of projects. My Company Pachira Capital is in the capital raising business and I have keenly observed Mike’s success in the Government Grant space. Government Grants play an important part in the capitalisation of business.

I am looking forward to the release of Mike’s ebook. It should short circuit the many enquiries we get for assistance with finding and interpreting Government websites from clients. I wish Mike well with his ebook launch.

These applications resulted in over $3m in approved funding for clients’ projects – both business and community. (I helped with the community grant applications
at no cost to the applicant community group)

I hope that some of my experience will save you time and avoid the mistakes that are commonly made in applications for funding.

There are also snippets of useless information I have discovered in my research which are included just for fun.

The ebook addresses all these issues and more:

  • People have told me that they once tried to apply but that it was too difficult;
  • Some people can’t understand why the bureaucrats in the capital cities or in Canberra ask such seemingly dumb questions and are so persistent
    about asking questions.
  • Some people don’t know that there are State and Federal Government Officers in capital cities and in Regional areas whose job it is to
help you through the application process, which to some is quite confusing.

A full year’s updates

There will be at least four – probably five of six – updates available during 2010. The updates will also be incorporated in the 2011 version. Further updates are planned for 2011. These updates will be available by subscription in December 2010 or January 2011.

(The first update is in production and will be emailed free of charge to all ebook subscribers as soon as it is ready)

If you are thinking ahead you may have worked out that there could be a disadvantage in buying the ebook in, say July 2010, when 2-3 updates may have already been issued. If you purchase the ebook and subscribe for the updates in, say July 2010, you will automatically receive all updates that have already been issued PLUS each update that is issued after that date in 2010.

Craig Harwood says

I have known Mike Palmer for several years and worked with him on a project a few years ago.

One of my companies was the recipient of a couple of Mike’s grant applications and I really appreciated the way he approached Government Officers, his attention to detail and his knowledge of and experience in the application and management processes. I believe Mike’s ebook about Government Grants and Government Funding could add substantial value to the business of subscribers.
